Our Services

It is our aim to manage your injury with the best most possible expertise and in the most professional manner possible. Injuries can create a lot of pain and stress – it can extend into your personal, social and work lives. At KCP we have enough staff to offer second opinions without question. If you are have questions, enquiries or concerns about any aspect of the treatment process, please bring it to our attention immediately. Sometimes you just need reassurance that everything that can be done, is being done. Always bear in mind, that no matter how painful you are, only a small percentage of patients require surgery – in other words, most conditions eventually come right. We have cardinal signs we are looking for, and if you demonstrate any of them an immediate referral is made to a specialist for review. In the meantime while you are waiting for that assessment, most patients will continue with treatment in the knowledge that the vast majority “come right” without surgical intervention, or when they do finally see a specialist they are instructed to resume physiotherapy. If surgery is looking highly likely then the treatment will change where necessary to ‘preparing for surgery” – in most cases the focus turns to gym or home based training programmes. There are also a number of injuries where the focus should be “coping as opposed to cure” given that some structures take extended periods of time to heal and that’s just the way it is sometimes.
